Request a proposal — or just ask

We reply within one business day. No spam, no hard-sell. If you are early in the journey, tell us roughly what you are trying to do, and we will point you to the right next step.

What happens next

What happens after you submit

Three steps from first message to signed engagement letter. Timing is a firm-internal commitment, not a marketing promise.

  1. 01

    Scoping call

    Within one business day

One of us reads your message, checks fit, and replies with a short list of questions plus one or two suggested slots for a 30-minute English call. The call is free and non-binding.

  2. 02

    Draft proposal

Three to five business days after the call

For services with published fees we confirm the rate immediately. For multi-step engagements we send a fixed-scope written proposal: canton, legal form, Swiss-resident signatory arrangement, accounting cadence, any permit or licence overlay, and a clear fee band.

  3. 03

Engagement letter and start of work

    After proposal acceptance

The signed proposal becomes an engagement letter that codifies the scope, deliverables, and fees. We open the incorporation file the same week, typically notary-ready within two to three further weeks for a GmbH.

The scoping call is free. For the full version of the process, including what a written proposal contains and what moves an engagement from proposal to signature, see our fees and process.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Ten answers covering response time, confidentiality, industry scope, language, and the call-versus-email question.

How quickly will you reply?

We respond within one business day (Monday to Friday, Central European Time). Enquiries sent on Friday afternoon or over the weekend are answered on the next business day.

Do I have to specify a service to submit the form?

No. The topic dropdown is optional. Select General enquiry or Other and describe what you are trying to do in the message. Even a one-line brief, for example "considering a Zug GmbH for a holding", is enough for us to route the enquiry and prepare a useful scoping call.

Is the initial call free?

Yes. The scoping call is free and non-binding. We use it to understand your situation, confirm whether what you need falls within our scope, and outline the likely next steps. If your case is a fit, we send a written proposal within three to five business days of the call.

Do you accept clients in all industries?

Most industries. A short exclusion list applies for regulated or high-risk sectors that require licence-specific experience we do not hold, for example clinical-trial pharma, gambling operators outside the ISA-licensed perimeter, and sanctions-exposed trade. We will tell you at the scoping stage if we cannot act.

Do you have a physical office I can visit?

Yes. Our office is at Baarerstrasse 14, 6300 Zug, Switzerland. Visits are by prior appointment so that a partner is available. Use the form to propose a date and time, and we will confirm within one business day. Walk-ins are not staffed at reception by default.

What should I include in the first message?

Three things are enough to get started: what you want to set up or solve, rough timing, and where you are resident today. Example first messages: "AG for a crypto token issuer, launching in Q3, founder resident in Germany" or "Swiss VAT registration for my German e-shop". Attachments are not required at this stage.

Is my information confidential?

Yes. Enquiries are treated as confidential from the first message. Data is handled under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is stored only for as long as needed to process your request or execute an engagement, and is never shared with third parties outside named infrastructure sub-processors such as Cloudflare and Resend.

Can I write to you in German or French?

You can write in German or French. We will reply in English, and all written client work such as proposals, engagement letters, and memos is delivered in English. If you need a German or French deliverable for a counterparty, tell us at the scoping stage so we can plan translation.

Can I call instead of emailing?

We do not publish a phone number. The fastest route is the form or an email to info@business-in-switzerland.com. We reply within one business day and are happy to schedule a call from there. This keeps our response queue focused on written briefs and filters out nuisance calls.

Do you work with individuals or only companies?

Both. Typical engagements are for individual founders setting up a Swiss entity, families setting up an office or holding, and foreign companies opening a Swiss subsidiary or branch. The firm is not licensed as a bank, asset manager, or investment advisor, and does not place investments on behalf of clients.

Privacy and compliance

Privacy and data handling

One paragraph on what we do with the information you send — and where to read the full policy.

We collect only what the form asks for, store it only for as long as we need it to process your request or run an engagement, and never share it with third parties outside named infrastructure sub-processors (Cloudflare for request filtering, Resend for transactional email). Submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a hidden honeypot field, and a per-IP rate limit of five submissions per ten minutes to keep the queue clean. Our lawful basis is contract performance where an engagement is underway, and legitimate interest for preliminary scoping enquiries. For the full statement, see our privacy policy and the imprint (Impressum).
